Once every year during May and June, Yelagiri breaks into a palette of colours as cultures, customs, traditions, art and people come together to celebrate the Summer Festival. If you are at Yelagiri in summer, make sure you don’t miss out on this. The festival is organized by the Department of Tourism, the Yelagiri Hills Development and Tourism Promotion Society and the Vellore District Administration. Cultural events, adventure sports, boat races, flower shows and fruit shows add to the splendor of the festivals.

May and June each year is the time for a Summer festival at Yelagiri Hills. Main attendees are local village folk and likeminded people from nearby areas of Vellore District. The governmentsponsored event aims to showcase the customs, culture and traditions of the tribal belonging to the areas that fall under Yelagiri Hills. Invitees include state ministers, government officials, members of various panchayat unions and local headmen.
